    As a first of a kind, GE lighting decided to run a 1-year, UK-wide​ urban innovation (intelligent city) programme, in the shape of a design competition (Intelligent Community Challenge), involving UK​ councils, university students, other tech companies and experts working together to develop LED-technology led solutions to urban challenges. GE Lighting selected newmedia2.0 to design and develop the concept, competi​tion, ​brand​ing​ and platforms (co-creation community 'hive', social media channels, design hackathon, collateral), ​and programme manage the competition, marketing, press & media. In addition newmedia2.0 led the outreach programme to inspire over 25 Councils and Universities from across the UK to get involved in the competition and attracted over 120 participants across the competition's 2 interactive events. A job well done, which has inspired further, similar GE initiatives.

    Citi Logik is a fast growing SME based in Tech City, London focused on mobile analytics in the urban space. The company has a global framework with Vodafone and is seeking to develop the concept of the living laboratory as a key engagement tool with its stakeholders and customers. In early January 2016, Citi Logik commissioned work with newmedia 2.0 to understand how the new concept could be taken to market. newmedia2.0 proved to be both engaging in their approach and quickly developed an understanding of the key drivers relevant to a prospective roll out. The consulting assignment and the recommendations were well received by the Board and have helped inform the emerging strategy for 2016/17. A great piece of work.

    In 2015, Loop City formed an Advisory Board to obtain qualification and sparring in relation to projects, analyses and results. As smart city makes up a significant part of LOOP CITY's programme, it was natural to ask Jeanette Carlsson, CEO, newmedia2.0 to sit on the Advisory Board, given her in-depth knowledge om the area. Jeanette is all the time ahead of smart city developments, and that has greatly benefited Loop City in relation to qualification of our projects. In the Spring of 2016, newmedia2.0 also arranged a study tour to London Tech City on behalf of the LOOP CITY Programme Steering Group, with the aim of boosting our knowledge of smart city initiatives in London. The tour was well prepared and the substantial network newmedia2.0 have in the smart city space really benefited the delegation, with the many interesting visits to both private sector companies and public institutions.

    newmedia2.0 are working with us to develop our strategy and execution plan for the transformation of a 1960s industrial park in Western Copenhagen into a Smart City and international hi-tech and Innovation cluster.     City of London Corporation led by The City Centre was looking for a solution to the growing congestion problem in the Square Mile of London. We appointed newmedia2.0 as our partner. newmedia2.0 proposed, developed and facilitated a Hackathon, inviting developers and startups to spend a weekend hacking real time data on people flows in the Square Mile and develop an innovative solution to the challenge. The winning solution is now being implemented by the City of London Corporation. A creative approach to urban innovation professionally developed and delivered by newmedia2.0.
